Welcome our Reviews Module!

You can use this Reviews Module to give your opinion on a movie you saw, some great music that you've discovered, a TV show that you like or your favorite video game, plus just about anything else you can think of. If we don't have a category to cover your subject let me know and I'll make one for you.

Meanwhile if your review doesn't fit into any of the other categories you can go ahead and put it in the General or Miscellaneous category for now.

A Tutorial for the Reviews Module

Using the Reviews Module is simple and easy! The reviews module gives you an organized and centralized area to post reviews for movies, music, video games, TV shows or just about anything else and has features to let your readers interact with your review by giving you feedback on the subject of the review as well as comments on the review that you’ve made. The basic concept is very much like making a forum post, plus it has several added features to make your review pop for your readers. This short tutorial will give you the basics first and then some of the finer details on how to use the Reviews Module.

The Basics:

To open up the "Add Review" window you can use the link in the forum address bar or the link located in the Reviews block that you'll find in the forum.

When you click on the link it will bring you to this page where you can navigate to reviews that have been posted already, or to the 'Add Review' page where you can compose and publish your review.

Go to the Add Review page and there you'll find that the compose/edit window is very much like the posting window that's found in the forum and the process is the same with a few added features for composing your review... and those extra features are what this tutorial is all about.

Extra Features:

Details:
At the bottom of your compose review window you'll see options for 'Category' and "Rate fields".

Category:
In the drop down list for Category you can select the section your review should appear in.

Rate fields:
In the rate fields you can type in questions that the readers of your review can give a rating value (Stars) like the ones seen in this next screen shot.
Use the "More rate fields" control to add more questions.

Once your review is published your readers can use the "Rate it!" and "Comment it!" controls at the bottom of your review to give a rating or make a comment on your review... The "Delete" and "Edit Item" controls will not be available to your readers.

The Finer Details:
If you are reading a review that someone has published you can give your opinion on the "Rate it!" questions that they included in the review by clicking on the "Rate it!" button at the bottom of the review.

You can also post your comments if you wish and subscribe to the review and get notified when someone else comments.
