Ken & Kay…
We started our road trip to New York and PA.

The plan was to go first to the upstate NY around the Syracuse area to visit with some of Kay’s family and then after spending a couple of days there with them we were going to backtrack to Marietta, PA to visit with Great-Grandmother Mallie, Yvonne & Irvin.

The weather had something to say about that!
After leaving Tobaccoville around 5:00AM on the 2nd of March we traveled north and around mid-day we began climbing through the Pocono Mountains along I-81 in Pennsylvania and the going just kept getting more and more hazardous as we went further into the mountains because of the cold, sleet and snow. Finally, when we had almost reached the summit, we decided that the road conditions were just too bad and not worth the chance, so we turned back. It was pretty rough getting out of those mountains and we owe debt of gratitude to all the big-rig trucks that we followed for making a path through the slush and ice that made it possible for us, without those trucks we would not have been able to drive out of there!

Great-Grandmother Mallie told me that she prayed for us and that is why God sent us those trucks.
Thanks Grandma…
And... Thank You God, the trucks were real handy.
