In the mystery photo of five men and one woman, Mom said that Grandmother Beulah told her that she remembered the woman was named Julia and one of the men was named Andrew just as you have written on your website. I printed out a large photo of this group of people from you site and Mom, when she saw it, said she couldn't be of any more help except to say the old photo may be around here somewhere with the names written on it. I'll have to look it up.
Also: I showed her the picture of the molasses mill and it set her off in a storytelling mood. We recorded it. She said the man bending over the molasses strainer is George Padgett but doesn't know who the other man is. He is nondescript as you know because he is standing in the shadows. I will get more info on George as I have a Rutherford Co. book and his family may be in it. Mom said his brother married Great Grandmother Mattie's sister. I'll let you know what I find. Mom says that George is not kin but I believe he is. I have a conviction that all the Padgett's of NC are related and that Mom and Dad are cousins through that bloodline too.
I am going to transcribe Mom's tape of that molasses story and send you that later. I haven't finished filling up that tape she's been talking on with her stories so can't make copies of it yet.
Like you site a lot and will check it out more later. Keep up the good work! I like the connection to the genealogy pages.
Catch you later, Yvonne
Note: In conversations later Yvonne has told me that the people in
the picture are Julia A. Hamrick and her new husband Andrew McGinnis. The other
men are his brothers, but so far the older lady (2nd from left) is still
unknown, the man on the far left appears older as well, so they may be his mom
and dad, but I am only guessing there... ken

In case you are wondering, this photo is parked here so that it can be used elsewhere.
