A Little Scare Last Night.
« on: February 03, 2014, 02:23:04 PM »
Been having bouts with my 'afib' heart issue since last Thursday and it finally got to the point where Kay felt that I needed to go to the hospital last night. I had already called my Dr. on Friday to see about increasing my heart meds dosage and when Kay gave me the extra dose last night that seemed to do the trick... of course, wouldn't you know that by the time the meds fully kicked in I was already in the emergency room!

Here's a quote from Kay on her FB page:
Quote
I just woke up.So tired.Could not go to sleep, after we got home at 4:30 this morning.Ken went back to bed when I got up.He got up at 8AM.I want to thank Joel and Christopher for coming to the Hosp. last night. It is so hard being alone during times like this.It didn't turn into a bad event as I had given him a Cardizem CD and a baby Aspirin, about 30 minutes before the ambulance got here.I called the ambulance because I could not get him up off the couch, to the car.He was so dizzy.I felt better with the Ambulance people being here because they have a shocker, so if his heart went into a full blown event, they could shock him.

Today he is fine and the Dr. said that he could take an extra pill until we see the Cardiologist on Wednesday.
It just got bad, so quick.
