I like it. Dark themes are not my first choice, but I like the crisp, clean lines.

A new book about Mallie and her Works & Life.
« on: January 06, 2010, 07:50:36 PM »
For a while now I've been working on a book about the life and times of Mallie.

It's still in the preliminary stages at this point but it is beginning to take shape. While it's not an outright biography it has some biographical elements that relate many of the life events that Mom has experienced.
Mostly it is a work that highlights and focuses on her art and her life as it relates to her art. There will also be elements that draw heavily on the work of Mom, her sister Martha and that of Yvonne as it relates to family history and their research into our history and while this won't be an exercise in genealogy there will be some of those elements in there as well.

The book is currently running to about 100 pages, but I expect that to go to about 150-200 for the finished version and it will include many color pages of Mom's artworks and writings. There is no price set yet, but I want to keep it as low as possible because there's no profit motive involved.

Here's an early mock-up of a possible cover.
