I like it. Dark themes are not my first choice, but I like the crisp, clean lines.

Lisa
« on: July 05, 2015, 04:53:49 PM »
Lisa has been ill for some time now, but it finally come to an head this last few weeks, she has had blockages in her veins in her legs which in turn sent  her toes gangrenous, then she got an infection in them, so the docs, they gave her 3 options...

1: leave it and she would die
2: they could try a vein bypass which may not work, or less than a 50% chance
3: amputate the leg just below the knee

So we talked about it at some length, she  decided to have #3 they operated yesterday morning removed the part half way between the knee and foot.

she was under to knife for about 4 hrs, and all went very well it seems, she came back to the ward in a very happy mood, considering what she had been through, still in pain but still smiling and joking today.

I went out today and got her an electric scooter, she has only seen picture of it, but is pleased with it.

So we dont know how long she will be in for, but I think it will be a few weeks.

I'll let you know more when I do.

Les

Les, you and Lisa are in our prayers and we hope that her recovery goes well.

Hopefully that nice scooter will inspire her to work hard on her therapy.

Sorry to hear that news Les, not easy for Lisa to make that decision, very brave imo.

Thoughts are with you both.

So sorry for late update on Lisa's progress, she has had her prosthetic leg made and as been to  physio twice a week to learn how to walk again.

Last week they let her bring it home.

If we had to pay it would cost us over $15,000 but its free to us..

Here is a short  video I took with my cell, please dont post it anywhere
