I like it. Dark themes are not my first choice, but I like the crisp, clean lines.

Snow Storms & Stress Tests!
« on: February 11, 2014, 07:22:52 PM »
Lately I've been having some issues with my heart, my symptoms have returned with vengeance! Rapid beating plus lots of weakness, light-headiness and disorentinted feelings.
The good news... my cardiologist has bumped my meds up a notch and that seems to be fixing the problem.  :happy1:

So what's with this post about my heart and snow?
Well, tomorrow morning my cardiologist is having me in for a heart stress test and then about noon we are supposed to get this snow storm that is bigger than any we've had in decades.

This should be an interesting and fun day!  :hah!:

Ps: I've had this stress test before and let me tell you that it's no joke... one part is where they put you on a treadmill and see how much you can take before you code out.

Good luck Ken, and stay safe and find a good neighbor kid to take care of the snow for you. groan:

Thanks ZP.  :happy1:

We don't worry to much about getting out so the snow removal is not a big deal... except for today of course.  :hah!:
The snow is supposed to get here around mid-day so hopefully we'll be finished and back home by then.

Ps: My little John Deere tractor has a couple of different scraper blades that can be used to turn it into a 'snow plow' so we're all set in that department.

I've always loved the snow, as long it's not too cold.  I wish I was still young enough and in good enough shape to get out there in it, build a big old snowman and go skiing like I used to.  I guess you are going to get the snow today that we usually get up here.  Have Fun !!! :2cool!!

There and back again!!!

We've been there and back again from the Dr's office... but no snow yet!
It's supposed to start within the next couple of hours and give us 6-10 inches.

You 2 were up early this morning. LOL

Glad things went well for you today, Ken. How's the snow now?

We are expected to get up to a foot with sleet/freezing rain as well. :P

Has not started here yet. Was thinking of running to Red Lobster and getting some fried fish with the gift card I got from my sis on Xmas. LOL

So does Lealer. I loved their peach bourbon bacon wrapped scallops! But was told they do not sell those anymore...not wrapped in bacon. :(

You 2 were up early this morning. LOL

You never know when you might see me up and online.  I haven't been able to sleep a lot since last month when we lost Jeff and my Mom, and was involved in the wreck when that tractor trailer almost ran over us on our way back down to North Carolina after my Mom's passing.  That combined with the water problem up here in Charleston and the polar vortex  made it a tough month for me.  January was probably about the worst month of my life. even worse than when I was first diagnosed with the cancer back in 2006.

I did not know about your Mom and am very sorry to hear.

We got about 2.5 feet of snow since Wed and got more coming tomorrow into Sun. :( I've got a pile of snow in my yard almost as tall as me from all of the shovelling.

I appreciate it Steve.  It was a tough month and I'm still not quite recovered from it.

BTW, I don't know if you guys got to see the thing I wrote up for Jeff and was posted at both SMF and on the team board at TP.  I've also got it on the FrontPage of his site.  The link is here --> http://www.jpr62.com/theme/index.php

Also, in case you are interested, here is my Mom's Obituary which I also wrote --> http://tyler.tributes.com/our_obituaries/Pauline-Halley-98118484
