MS Edge information as I find it
« on: August 20, 2015, 08:22:19 PM »
Just for starters, when check the task manager, details I find that the MS Edged use way less Memory then the FireFox.

I have used Firefox from so far it hard to keep track, and I still like form my main Browser> But looks like the MS edge has got some edge over the FF in the amount for system resources used, just setting idle!

I will be doing more research on the but you can check out and see! you be amazed at the difference!

The task manager is a great tools that MS has for years now, to shut down stuck applications and or check on what apps take up you system resources!

regards,
Maxx

I've tried MS Edge a little, still prefer FF by a wide margin.

Maxx, it will be interesting to see what conclusions you reach over time.

Yes I agree.. using FF mostly but, just exploring the  MS stuff. I do allot of multi tasking and it uses up my resources, If MS is working a lighter solution, I'm interest but still concern of privacy issue and pop ads. But the chrome has the same issue, I have to clean out the temp file when ever I use either of those. Ccleaner is still good for this for now cause I'm testing out the Windows defender and Not the AVG as I normally use, I have other scanning also!

I jsut sent some feed back to MS on the latest build 10250 I'm testing!

Maxx

Yes, it works nicely, so far. But I have security worries as well. Changing the name and minicking other browsers does not necessarily make it more secure. It's still IE/M$...

I still use IE11 on windows 10, though they seem to have screwed that up a bit in the process.  I like Edge and will use that when SMF fixes the BBC editor. (Which I just read they've found fix for, and should be in the next 2.0 update).

Well I just flushed my Systems Temp file and stuff found in the Edge, that I only on limited bases with 263,152 KB of junk and on the FF that I use everyday all day only had 351,604 kb of junk!

So gonna stick with FF as my main browser, and the IE and or Edge for testing themes only. I found in the past repair PC's that IE always collected more bugs and infections that FF and also the Chrome, Not sure but I think they share too much also. Does anyone remember the Netscape Navigator? that first version I used, and still using their stuff today FF... long time!

IE was always on my black list!
But Have use it to test things! :(

Maxx

I always liked Netscape, but always had issues with it.
