I like it. Dark themes are not my first choice, but I like the crisp, clean lines.

Lady
« on: December 17, 2009, 04:37:11 PM »
Once upon a time, a long time ago, there was this guy called Me who thought things were important and there was a future.
Me used to write songs to explain this illusion.
One day, he wrote a melody and had a title 'Lady' but the lyrics eluded his for some time so he forgot about all about it.

However, one day at work, he innocently entered his best friends office only to find the said friend hunched over his desk, vigorously scribbling and throwing wads of folded paper all over the place.
"Watsup cobber," said Me to friend, and friend replied, "Ya know me and the Missus had a lassy bairn a few weeks ago, well I'm trying to write a lullabye for the sweet thing."

It was at this point that Me received a hammer blow to his subconscious and walked outa the office with the 'Lady' song complete.

Simple really, what must it feel like to have your first little baby girl.

Quote
Lady, Lady, in your tiny arms, you hold the perfect dream
Maybe, maybe, if I give it time they'll be reaching out for me
Its crasy, its crasy, why I fear to touch, the one I love so very much

Open your eyes can you see the skies, they were made for you and me
But can they compare to what we share, for its you who set me free
Cos your my Lady, my little Lady, your my lady.

Lady, Lady, your so high above, everything I thought I'd need
Maybe, maybe, through your sleeping eyes, I'll see things differently
But its crasy, its crasy, why I love you so, and you dont even know its me.

Open your eyes can you see the skies, they were made for you and me
But can they compare to what we share, for its you who set me free
Cos your my Lady, my little Lady, your my lady.
Yes your my lady, my little baby, your my Lady

Does that to me too Les, but only since I actually became a Dad. I have two beautiful little girls now.
Oldest 9, and the little princess just gone 7 last week.
