It may be released as early as today...if we all agree on it. ;)

I like it. Dark themes are not my first choice, but I like the crisp, clean lines.

Well, it didn't work after all!
I tried it with my test user (Mia) and it's not working there, so Illori suggested an uninstall and reinstall so I'm doing that now.

The settings must be saved in the data base because after doing the reinstall the settings are the same as before and the no logout result is the sane.

I still can't logout so it has to be something in the theme...

Yepp... same here.

Yeah, I know but most of the good looking themes are just too old code-wise. I am thinking of trying my hand at making a new theme this year after I get a few things out of the way...

A new theme would be great!

I still have a lot of the old ones, but as you say, the code is just to out of date on them.

Hmm, has to be a difference between this theme and the other with the sessions part of the code, I'd assume.

For now I've set the forum default theme back to Outline... it works, so it will have to be OK as the default until a new theme can be found.

Now, I'm interested in finding out what the difference is...not that I'm a coder by any means! LMAO

I think that it must be the custom menus that are causing the problems.

The WorkDesk3 theme is causing too many issues, so for now it has been removed as the forum default and we are now using SilentWave.

If you notice any issues please let me know... Thanks.  :azn:

Just noticed that this topic has not been updated in more than a week!  shocked003

During that time the WorkDesk3 theme has returned as the forum default because of the coding skills of Illori, she fixed the major issues with it.
Read about it HERE.

And then as a follow up Steve has been doing some tweaks to refine the look of the theme and sort out some display issues with it... Thanks Steve.  :disturbed:

MOD httpBL

Giving this 'spam prevention' mod a try to see if it will help with all the banned spammers who keep hammering the site, trying to get in even after their ban is in place... they can't get it, but they sure do try.  laughing7

All mods will help prevent them from entering the site but cannot stop them from trying. The Forum Firewall may help with that but it is very easy to make the wrong setting and ban yourself or others or even disable your forum unless you know what you are doing!

The best way to stop them from hammering the site is to use a .htaccess file or use cPanel's IP Deny feature. You can set a range or IP's in either of those if, let's say, 20 of them have the same IP but the last part (host) is different like 111.222.333.856, 111.222.333.482, etc. You can use "111.222.333." or "111.222.333.*" depending on how your hosting is set up. This will block the entire range for that part (the last part) of the IP...numbers 0 through 999.

Thanks for that tip Steve, I'll take a look at the cPanel thing and read up on that.
