Topic: My Doctor Thinks I Should Give Up Coffee!

After triple bypass surgery and then a problem with my GI tract my doctor suggested I give up tobacco, alcohol and coffee. Okay, it wasn't easy but I gave up tobacco over three years ago. I did enjoy a beer now and then or a shot or two of rum, but no more. Coffee is the hard one for me to give up.

Though there has been some progress cutting back, my consumption is down to only one cup a day:

I gave up on the drink over 28 years ago and smoking over 12 years, that was the hard one! Coffee I drink one half cup every morning, so I have a little joy in morn ( but very strong the Puerto Rican way), it's what gets my heart stared to be honest. I was stationed there after I got out, and join the Navy as a civilian.

But I did not have the same heart condition as you! some doctors claim it's good to have cup!
I would think if your Blood pressure is good??
