I like it. Dark themes are not my first choice, but I like the crisp, clean lines.

A Poem for Jake
« on: March 17, 2015, 06:30:59 PM »
Our next door neighbors, Jeanie and Teodoro Cruz must be just about the best neighbors ever!

Today we received a beautiful card from them that read in part, "May warm memories of your pet continue to fill your heart with love".  The card by itself would have been wonderful enough because it was signed by both Jeanie and Theo as well as their two children, Carmen and Alex, with some heart warming comments written in.
But the best part was the Poem that Jeanie wrote, Kay and me both cried as we read it.

"A Special Little Man"

Once knew a little man, his name was Jake
Such a good little dog, he was just great
He is gone now, was so sad to hear
But he is in a wonderful new home, with nothing to fear.

He was so cute, running in and out his little door
My dear little friend has to suffer no more
He would run outside, to take a little pee
Sometimes he would run around, with so much glee.

Such a smart little fellow, this is so true
He would not want you, to feel so blue
Jake had so much love, to you both to give
So remember, he's now where he can continually live.

And even though you now live so far apart
That little man Jake will always live in your heart
So now God, has given you Mia to help you heal
Because His Love too, is so very real.

Animals are a special gift, from Heaven above
Their cups runneth over, with Gods gracious Love
One thing's for sure, about that little man Jake
God opened His arms at that Pearly White Gate!
