As we are dragged along by the Sun as it travels through the Galaxy and as we rotate around the Sun, we form a vortex.

I've always believed that there are many things we do not understand yet. As our science "advances" (or we believe it does, lol) we discover new things. Those discoveries do not necessarily mean we fully understand them yet. Think about it, we keep discovering things all of the time that should have been discovered sooner...one would think. So, this theory does make a lot of sense.
