PC on a Stick!
« on: July 01, 2015, 09:19:47 PM »
I first saw this story when Bloc posted about it over on TinyPortal.

Kind of interesting, so I did a Google and found that several companies are getting into this market and the lowest price that I saw was $99. This could very well be the next Big Thing in the computing world.

Use it Anywhere

Looking to bring computing to new places? The Ideacentre Stick 300 is exactly what you're looking for. It connects and transforms any HDMI TV or monitor into a full PC. It’s great for on-the-go client presentations, catching up with emails, watching movies, gaming, or simply browsing the web. All the convenience of everyday computing, but in an ultra-small format.
Small but Powerful

At just 100 mm long, the Ideacentre Stick 300 fits easily into the palm of your hand as well as your back pocket. Powered by Windows OS with Bing, and with 2 GB of memory and 32 GB of on-board storage, this little device packs a big punch.

In theory it sounds good but with only 2gb memory what Windows programs can you actually run well? Probably just the stock one cause a lot of programs you like to install that are not from Microsoft will probably require a least 4gb, if not 8. I'll wait for some other guinea pigs to try it first. LOL
