NASCAR has always been a 'southern good ole boy' sport and even though they have tried to update their image these past few years it was a pleasant surprise that Wendell was installed to the Hall of Fame this quickly. The Hall did not open until 2010, so this is only the fifth (6th?) class of inducted.

I'm very happy the see him get in and am also glad to see that there was very few resenting opinions.
