I always make extra burgers and freeze them for whenever I have a burger craving. LOL
Try grated onions mixed in and the drunken mushrooms on top. Grated onions (with the juices) will help keep the burger juicy and give it flavor. I usually do that or add up to 1/4 cup of liquid (broth, stock, cream, etc.) per 2 lbs. of burger meat. ;)
I'm making Beef & Pork Ragù Lasagne (http://www.finecooking.com/recipes/beef-pork-ragu-lasagne.aspx)...except without the beef. So, it's all pork lasagna...except for some beef broth added in. :hah!:
It's quite a bit of work dicing everything fine...especially the 2lbs. of meat. shocked028
Chewy Cranberry-Oatmeal Cookies (http://www.finecooking.com/recipes/chewy-cranberry-oatmeal-cookies.aspx)
Next time I make these I'll add a little orange zest. ;)
So you can threaten to lock me out too? And I thought your were my friend! :hah!:
I can't ever recall eating avocado but will need to try some soon...
I made the ribs last night for a late night snack. :hah!:
LOL, I love carrot cake! I've been wanting to learn how to make mini cakes so there's not a whole cake sitting around waiting to be eaten. LOLhttps://recipes.pw/recipe/18/Carrot-cupcakes-with-white-chocolate-cream-cheese-icing :P
OK. There is a first and last for everything. Ken and I have been trying different foods so tonight we ate Quinoa. That was a first and a last. I cooked it per directions, but neither of us was thrilled with it and decided that we had just eaten something that looked like bird seed, without the Sunflower seeds. No more for either of us. Next will be Couscous. I bought some of that to and think I have tried it before, but being my age, I forget stuff. We shall wait a couple of days before trying this. To people who like this stuff, good for you. I got nothing out of eating what I ate tonight. We also had cooked cabbage and broiled Salmon, which was OK
To me it looked like white rice with a hand full of beach sand thrown in.LMAO!!! That makes me think of a good thread or site where people can add their bad experiences in detail for viewing and tasting various dishes. I think it would make for fun reading. :)
The taste was very bland and it had a kind of uncooked texture, even though it was supposed to be fully cooked as per the instructions. This makes me think it was not hydrated enough... Perhaps, it did not either:

Perhaps, it did not either:
1. cook long enough :tick:
2. have enough liquid :tick:
3. sit long enough after cooking :tick:
...or a mix of one or more of those... :tick:
Boil two cups of water. Add 1 cup of quinoa. Cook for 15 minutes.
It is 1.25 cups of water for 1 cup of quinoa.
You probably cooked them too long. Yesterday, I made a very thick pork chop that came out well. I brined it then pan-seared it on med-high heat to brown it. Then stuck in oven at 350° for about 30 minutes. Today, I'll do the same but at a lower temp...maybe 275-300 for about 45 minutes or so. That should make it even more tender.

I love my Instant Pot Pressure Cooker! It's awesome! Once you get used to using it you'll use it a lot.
Kay is picking up some take-out for us! :hah!:While reading you post about your chicken alfredo I noticed my post from Aug 2020 where I talked about our food from the Tlaquepaque Mexican restaurant & Grill (http://www.tlaquepaquenc.com/index_htm_files/Tlaquepaque_New_menu_2017v1.pdf) in King and Kay happened to walk by as that post was pulled up and we talked about that food. Turns out that we didn't very much at all, even-though we has always found it to be very tasteful in our previous visits for in house or take out.
