Great Conversations with Dedra!
« on: August 31, 2007, 07:49:00 AM »
Conversations can be a wonderful thing!  :disted:

It all started Wednesday evening when I got a phone call from Dedra and we talked for about 45 minutes. Dedra is my niece and we had been 'out of touch' for about 25 years so it was quite a surprise when she called but it only took us about 3 seconds to get back into the groove.

Our conversation covered lots of old times and new times as we caught each other up on all the family news and we really enjoyed visiting with each other for those all to short 45 minutes.

And we had a little fun adventure as we talked, here's what happened...
After we were talking for about 5-6 minutes Dedra passed me over to her husband Clarence to introduce us because we had never met. He and I talked for a few minutes and then Clarence said that he needed to leave to go to work and that Dedra was to drive him so he was passing the phone back to her.
So I'm thinking that we would say our goodbyes but Dedra had a better idea, she had made the call to my on her cell, so she simply carried the phone with her on the trip to Clarence's  work, dropped him off and then started back home talking to me all the while.
We finally had to stop when Dedra stopped to get a car wash on the way home and it was too loud in the wash for us to hear each other.
The trip was fun and we enjoyed it.

That was the best phone call in a long, long time and one of the best calls ever.  :bigtmb:
