Tattoo's & Radiation

(1/3) > >>

Ken:
Hey Family. Sorry for the sparse updates of late, my energy levels have just haven't been up to the task.
So, what's the latest news? Well, I'm back on the Votrient now and that's a nice trusted move. And, today I had a session in my Radiation Oncology department for setup's for my upcoming radiation treatments. They did lots of stuff, including building a form for me too lay in during radiation treatments. They also gave me the first of several Tattoo's that will be used to align the radiation machine. There will be from 5 to 20 sessions over the next few weeks, that number will be determined to how my body responds to the treatments. Sound like great fun.  :P
So, how am I doing otherwise? Getting better as time passes, but I still have a lot of pain and movement issues, but again, I'm getting better.

Oh, and speaking of Tattoo's ...
Here is my first Tattoo, it is tiny so you will need to look carefully at the junction of the three marker lines, it's the small black dot.

LOL @ the smiley face. :)

Glad for the update and glad you're getting better! Been worried about ya! ;)

Scrubmeister:
Wish you all the best going forward.  :)

Ken:
This past Monday we had my first session at the Radiation clinic, but I was not off my Chemo drugs long enough (needed to be off for 5 days), so we did a lot of the prep work. Then, today I  had my first actual Radiation treatment which lasted about one hour and it was horribly painful because of my old rotator cuff injury on my left side. The treatment itself was no problem, but the left shoulder and arm were hard to deal with.

But, I will deal with it! One session down and nine to go... every day, except Saturday and Sunday.

Skhilled:
We are rooting for you! :)
