Progress!
Basically you have to treat this unit like you would a desktop PC when it comes to installing an update or a program. The only problem with that is that unlike your computer where you would see your Windows desktop when you start the PC and from there be able to install a new program, on the Pocket LOOX what you see is the GPS program (NAVIGON) and there is no obvious way to access the operating system, Windows CE.
So, while I was finding all kinds of updates and hacks for the unit there was no way to install or change anything, but that all changed after I found
This Topic on the GpsPasSion Forums where a 'fixed cab file' was posted... once that cab file was loaded into the Loox unit all that was needed was a soft reset to execute the file and that made it possible to install the iLooks desktop.
That's the first step... now on to the next part of the process which is to load a Geocaching map into the Loox and have it actually read it. :cool2:
