I like it. Dark themes are not my first choice, but I like the crisp, clean lines.

DC Trip 2017 – The White House

The White House was one of the main points of interest for our DC Trip 2017 and James and Shelly were able to secure reservations for the three of us.

Going through the process of getting into our Nations House was quick, smooth and painless, no standing in long lines, no over the top security measures and no huge crowds once we were inside. We think this came down to two things… the security was in no way lax, but appeared to be very low key and our thought was that it was because in order to get a reservation you must be completely vetted before said reservation is ever issued. As for the very small crowds, we suspect this was due to the Congress and Senate being in recess, so most of the members were not in town.

One note on security in DC as a whole, even with the members of congress being in recess and out of town the security levels were very high and while not oppressive, they were very visible and attentive and vigilant. I did not notice a single security officer that appeared bored or disengaged. And, while they all looked somber and watchful the few that we spoke to were very courteous and helpful… plus two of them were very accommodating. ;)

Here are a few pictures that we took and you can find more in the Gallery.
… Some of these are from Shelly’s camera and some from mine.

Just us three.

OH! No we didn't?  :o
Ummm... yes we did!
