I was looking on Amazon for a new one since I've had mine for FAR too long. LOL During my research I ran across this article which is very interesting and very informative!

Interesting article. I had read an article or two about sharpening steels last year, but had forgotten about it until you posted this link. Kay needs a good one for her kitchen.

The knife set that is mentioned further down the page is interesting as well, but rather pricey.

Do you have a Sam's Club nearby? Or a Costco? I found a a pretty good but inexpensive set for about $30 or so...can't remember at Sam's club. It's a 4 piece set but works very well...santoku style knives.

I just looked at mine...they're Wolfgang Puck brand. There's also a 6 or 8 piece set for about $20 more I think.
