Title: Cinnamon Rolls
Post by: GrandMa Kay on April 03, 2011, 10:56:01 AM
I feel like baking today, so I am in the process of making Cinnamon rolls. No raisins or nut's,just plain old Cinnamon rolls.Trying this new yeast,so they may not turn out. Will see shortly if the yeast is working or not.If it does I may make some sausage bread.I get on these kicks every now and then, where I have to do everything at once. It's called being hyper and 66...........I think I will start to exercise this week. That should make me feel better.......

Kay will have to send me the recipe for the sausage bread. Not sure, but the Amish farmer's market might have some of that. I'll check in the morn on the way home from work.

Steve,Just use any two loaf white bread recipe. After it rises the first time, punch it down to rise again and cook sausage,I like Jimmy Deans sage sausage with chopped onions and peppers, until done. Drain it and set it aside to cool. When the bread has risen the second time.Punch it down and cut in half. Roll it out and put the cooked sausage on it.Then roll it into a loaf and put it into a greased pan.Just follow the baking directions on temp. and time for your bread recipe...It makes two loaves usually.Enjoy.It is good........

That's simple enough! Thanks, Kay! I was thinking it was more like a raisin loaf with sausage peppered throughout the loaf.

Yikes! I forgot to check out the breads while I was at the Farmer's Market this morning.  :thud:
