When I load this site on the end of the url it has nyud.net:8090  <--- not sure it thats the number on the end, But it really slows the site down when loading for the first time :thud:

I am using FF4 and it only seems to happen with this site, does anyone else get this?

Steve had mentioned that a couple of weeks back, don't know what it is... I've tried looking it up on Google but still don't understand what it is. Maybe I'll send off a note to Frank to see if it has something to do with the servers.

It's part of a domain but not sure how it got into your domain name.

It just showed up for me as well, but only once. The load times seem fast for me.

It's a hosting/domain issue. That should not be in your domain. Either the hosting is not setting the domain properly or the registar is having issues. I'm leaning more toward the hosting. Seems like a subdomain/addon domain issue. But you don't have that as a subdirectory on your server that I could see. Do you have anything "parked"?

Yes.
Our original domain name was 'mykimbrell.com' and it's still live, but any hits on that name are redirected to 'ourfamilyforum.org'.

As mentioned elsewhere, Frank has recently moved us to another server and that may be what's causing some of these disruptions... example; yesterday I was unable to access the cPanel until he reset everything for me.

try unparking it or disconnecting it to this domain and see if that has any effect on it. I really don't think it will cause I still can't see how "nyud.net" fits in. Might something to do with the datacenter that Frank uses???

EDIT: It only happens sometimes and seems to happen more when you first access the site. After that it seems to go away.
