I like it. Dark themes are not my first choice, but I like the crisp, clean lines.

I just try to do it a different way at times so it's not just the same all of the time.

I've just made Gruyere and Proscuitto scones and they are ^%#%$ awesome!!! They are from the latest Baked From scratch magazine and aren't even on their site yet.

Geez! This site is VERY slow or there's something wrong on my end...

LOL, sounds like something I'd try to make. I do like putting all kinds of things in a potato skin and baking them. :)

I came up with a new recipe. :) Sometimes, I di a rice pilf which you can add various ingredients in it. This time, I sauteed diced onions and diced ham and added it to the pilf along with some chicken broth (instead of water) and for seasonings I added 1/2 a packet or taco seasoning. Boy! It tastes great! The taco seasoning is just slightly strong so next time I may add only 1/3 of it but was definitely a great addition! I just wish I had added some beans...maybe next time I'll add some pigeon peas.

That sounds good.

Kay's B-Day was on the 13th and for a present she wanted a pressure cooker, so we got her one. Now she is starting to try various meals that can benefit from this type of cooking. It sure helps to make meats come out much more tender.

The last meal was Swiss Steak with lots of veggies and a sauce made with whole tomatoes that was a little like a spaghetti sauce, but thinner. It was served over a bed of rice, cooked separately, and the meal turned out great.

Me loves rice topped with sauted veggies and some meat.

I love my Instant Pot Pressure Cooker! It's awesome! Once you get used to using it you'll use it a lot.

That's the brand that Kay has, it's the larger one. Don't remember the qt size, but it can take a whole chicken plus veggies, or whatever else you want to put in.

Been hooked on Chicken Cheese Steak Subs with onions lately. But I've been using pretzel steak buns or the keiser shaped ones. The idea is that I use honey mustard for the sauce cause mustard goes well with pretzels and also chicken. They are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good! ;)

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I also use the pretzel bus for ham and cheese sandwiches. ;) THEN...you can do both, the chicken steaks or ham and cheese under the broiler open-faced for a few minutes until the cheese mels and the pretzel buns so just slightly toasted. Then you get that nice little crunch from the pretzel that is good along with the melted cheese while the rest of the bun is still soft! YUMMMMMM!!!
