In the SMF support topic dougiefresh states that his Inline Attachments mod is not working well with the forums built-in WYSIWYG editor.
Looks like waiting might be the order of the day.  :whistle1:

@njtweb and @CrescentEclipse: I noticed that both of you are using the WYSIWYG mode of the SMF editor.  I can confirm that this mod DOES NOT properly work with the SMF's WYSIWYG mode.  The attachment tags were removed from the message when I switched between modes.  I can also confirm that the ILA link beside the attachment upload box doesn't work in WYSIWYG mode.... I'm not sure how to fix this issue, but I am going to investigate this issue further....

Testing the "POST & PM INLINE ATTACHMENTS" again.

[ Invalid Attachment ]  <<< this is an attachment

Ah! Ha! Got it to work!

 [ Invalid Attachment ] <<< attachment

Went over the code edits for Display.php again and discovered that there was an extra bit of code; ");", that got picked up when copying from the install.XML file and this was because another Mod have already added in that bit of code.  laughing7

Works OK now.

There is a downside of sorts to this Mod.
You must first attach your files to your post and then save the post. Once the post has been saved, the attached files will have been uploaded and then you can edit the post and place the attached files wherever you wish within the post. Kind of like posting twice, but it work out in the end.  laughing7

Regarding the downside stuff.  It still has a bug imo, the images look like they are clickable even though they're not.  Just curious why you'd go to all the trouble getting it to work + adding another mod, when you can embed a pic straight from one of your galleries.   :whistle1:

laughing7 Well... yes, I can do that. For me this just seems a little easier to do, with less steps.

With the gallery you must go to: Gallery > Add Picture > and then do all the(several) steps to add an image... then go to: Gallery > Album > Last Page of the album and select the image. Then copy the image url and paste it into your topic. Easy enough to do, but a lot of steps.
With the attachments Mod you go to: Your Topic > Add Attachments as Normal > Save/Post Your Topic > then go to: Modify Topic > and insert your images as desired.

Both ways gets the job done, but the attachments do it better if you have the need to do lots of image attachments.

I suppose you have a point there is less steps.   Although I would normally batch upload my images to CPG and just use the embed codes.  Using two tabs in my browser, it only takes seconds to do.  And as you know I hate adding mods if I don't have to.

Yes, I do know that.  :)
The CPG with multiple tabs works well and it works OK with SMF Gallery Pro also... the free version of SMF Gallery not so much.(it only lets you do one image at a time)

Just (re)installed two themes:
SilentWave from DzinerStudio.
And, impulse2 by Bloc.

So the quest begins again, adding all the mods and missing files to those themes. ;)

Seriously though, I notice one or two themes here have problems, one of them being Studio-001, this has problems with the nav menu for example.

laughing7 yeah, I do have that bad habit.
Oh, in case you've not noticed, me been holding off on the Mods lately, it had been some time since the last new Mod until this last one. (Post and PM Inline Attachments)

The Studio-001 is gone now and should have been removed a long time ago, but I kept hoping that Bloc would become engaged again and finish working on the series. It's doubtful that he will take it up again though.

The " Thanksgiving" theme has been set as the default here on Our FamilyForum. It's a nice way to start getting us in the mood for Thanksgiving Day.
