Title: Mushroom and Chicken Cheeseburgers
Post by: Skhilled on June 30, 2021, 11:58:52 PM
These look very interesting! I'd prolly grind my own chicken or turkey using dark meat cause it has more flavor and will be more juicy.

LOL, I love mushrooms and they add a beefy/unami flavor to foods. It's right up my alley. I'll try it and let you know how it goes. :)

Oh, I'm good with the mushrooms just about any way you fix em, but that chicken in my cheeseburger not so much.  :vomit:  laughing7

It's not chicken mixed in to a regular beef burger. It's ground chicken just seasoned and shaped into a burger. ;) They're pretty good!

I've made some before but not with the mushrooms in them. The problem with store bought ground chicken is that it is not the correct grind. They grind it fine instead of coarse or medium like they do ground beef. This is why I like to make my own or just buy some fresh boneless/skinless chicken or turkey thighs and have the butcher grind them medium for me.

Another thing is that you'll usually have to season them a tad more beef. But as I've said, it's just poultry ground up and shaped into a patty and fried like a burger.
