Tonight, I got the best mother's day gift ever! My daughter played a solo during the band concert! She didn't even tell us. We just heard her name announced as a soloist during the introduction to a song, and as the song began, she played a solo. I am so extremely proud!!! Especially since it was the last time she will ever wear the Panther band uniform. Just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes. It is honestly the best mother's day gift, I have ever received. She also received an award for outstanding musical contribution.

Events like that ARE the best gifts of all, no package or card could ever measure up to something as personal and endearing as your daughter's gift to you... she sounds pretty smart too, keeping it a secret like that so she could surprise you.
