Going Back to win 7
« on: December 21, 2015, 03:33:09 PM »
Gentleman looks like I'm gonna move back to Windows 7,

Been playing testing the WIn 10 for along time and I'm finding most times when changing things and upgrading the Windows 10 is way too touchy, not mention, who know a many are looking at my PC.?

I don not have much to hide but still the privacy is my right, and I have found when this are free, they come with some hidden costs? :)

Gonna be starting all over and I will keep my lap top at Windows 10, I just use it to test and watch Hulu HDMI ..No commercials and movies up the u k w! :)
This way I can watch what I want when I wand and no came show News, just what I pick!

regards,
Maxx

Sorry to hear that it's not working for you Maxx.
Lots of folks are saying that Windows 7 is better than Window 10 and switching back, but not so much for Win 8.1.

For me, on my Win 8.1 laptop W10 is working good and so I'm keeping it. But, on my old laptop that was running Win 7 I'm thinking about changing back to W7.

Yup win *+ is a no no for me also.. My problems with Win 10 started  when I tried going back to my on board Video chipset. and a view Updates came along, so it's not install the updates ,I did allot of trying and research, tried many suggestions and not positive.. tried to go back to videos Card I had and the4 same problems.

I found that if one update fails they all do, that's not cool and Windows 10 Needs a lot work, before I'll be happy with it. I found win 7 is working just find.. so that's it for now!

All drivers updated right off! ( win 7) :)

I don't blame you am considering doing the same thing. There's too much stalling whenever I try to run something...even the file manager! It's like they are sending data back about each and every thing you do. Win 7 and 8.1 are much faster. I may even just switch to linux altogether sooner or later.

This also has me worried about other M$ products and how they may be relay information...like Skype.

I may go Linux on one drive?

I have tons cash invested in Windows software though so one will need be windows & and BTW on Win 8+ I' don't like either and gave them both plenty of time and testing :)

Also I paid allot for Windows 7 pro versions that I have!

Not to mention that Windows 10 does not play nice with other Ant-Viral software! (

I've played around with Ubuntu for years and I like it, but never liked any of the others. Just have always preferred Windows for me.

Yes, some years ago Suse sent me set of DVDs (5-6?) and I played with it, but never got into running it full time.
