New FF default theme for the new year.
« on: December 27, 2009, 10:24:23 AM »
Currently we still have several of the 'old' themes installed, but there are just four actual choices for a default theme here on the FF so I was showing them to Kay to see which one she liked best and she picked Silent Wave. So, after the year 2010 starts we'll set that one as the default for a while.

I've tried to check all of the images and icons already, but if any were missed be sure to let me know. riteon
@Les... whenever you feel the artistic urge to do some design work could you please take a look at the theme to see what you come up with.
Replacing the Silent Wave logo is the main thing of course, but if you want to play with any of the other elements we can take a look at that as well. You always come up with good stuff and more often than not we end up using whatever you design.  :bigteeth:
One thing you may want to look at are the membergroup badges, I've loaded the one's we've been using currently but to me they don't seem to quite fit with this SW theme. Maybe it's just me.

I'll have a look at the banner, should be easy enough to change, and I will make some new staff badges too. over the next few days :bigthumb:

Nice.  :2thumbs:

This logo looks much better and the badges look good too.
The only one we're missing is the BaseCamper badge.

For the most part the base-camper group will remain the same for now... the one member (dl1000v) had asked to be changed because he had been a member before he knew about base camping and he had said that he wanted the FF to be his home forum and so that's why I changed him to 'FF Friends'.

I don't really mind one way or the other about which of the two groups they are in, but it's likely that most of them would rather stay in the BC group... maybe I should post something about it in the BC forum?

@Spezi... when you read this, do you have an opinion on the membergroup?

I don't really think anyone is too worried about it Ken and for what it's worth there's no special designation for BC'ers anywhere else so I think it really comes down to what lengths you feel like going to with administrative tasks.

PS: Where's Yeti?   I'm having withdrawls.
