PS: Where's Yeti?   I'm having withdrawls.

Guess you'll just have to get over it my son... the Yeti won't be returning till next Christmas.  :bigteeth:

Oh well I'll have to find you a good looking BigFoot.   :innocent:

Funny I switched to that wave theme before I saw this thread.   :bigteeth:

I thought I would try a staff badge with the water droplet in the top banner, let me know if you like it, and I will do the rest :innocent:

Hmmm, that would keep in line with the theme. :)

That looks good Les.

What if you off-set the water drop a little to the right, so that it was more visable? Don't know if that would improve the visual, just thinking out loud.

OK... gotta convert them first, they need to be .gif files.  :disted:

EDIT: Actually what I need to do is go back to the SMF default naming scheme so that it's not a chore to add an image to a custom theme without messing up another theme.

I dont think you have to have .gif only, you can use .png too

That's true... the image for a membergroup badge can be any file type and you can name it whatever you wish, but there is a catch.

When you edit a member group and specify a name and file type all themes are going to look for that same name and file type... so if your setting in a membergroup is for 'member.gif' then each theme is going to look for that file name and type. Now comes the part where you set different images for different themes... in the image folder for each theme you can place any image you want as long as it's named 'member.gif'.

So, what I need to do is go back through the themes we currently have and clean up and simplify the naming scheme.

we will have to set a naming scheme for the badges in future, save you having to rename them all each time :yikes:

My suggestion is to use the SMF default name and file type for Admin, it is the only default membergroup we use, and then for 'special' badges make any and all of them with that same file type extension.

Example: The 'Family' badge for a given theme would be named 'family.gif' even if it was a different image from one that was used in another theme.

We need a set for imPulse2 at some point Les... no rush on them because it may be some time before it gets set as the forum default theme.

Checking the rest of the themes now.
