SMF Team troubles.
« on: January 22, 2010, 07:17:13 PM »
After doing some serious reading this afternoon I'm starting to think we may all be looking for some other software soon.

Been hearing some rumblings for a while now, but didn't realize it was this serious.

Funny thing is I was just thinking of testing other software again. I haven't done this in sometime but will start today.

I've seen the signs over the past year or so but was hoping that it did not come to this. TP, SMF Arcade and other big projects will go away which will kill SMF. No supporters, no project.

I just finished reading most of it. I think either there will be a split like joomla/mambo or it will die. Too much publicity and it will only grow...

At this point and being on the outside looking in, we have no accurate way to gauge what will happen in the end but Nao made some really good points in this post.

Very true. Like I said, it will probably split and one or the other will die. Probably the current team site because too many that are leaving are well respected and have contributed to the majority of the mods. No mods, no smf.

Here's a list of "unban" images that everyone is talking about.
