I like it. Dark themes are not my first choice, but I like the crisp, clean lines.

Thanks Steve.
If you do, there is already a folder named "/home/ourfamil/public_html/FamilyForum_new"... but, it has the 'SMF full install' loaded into it. You mentioned that the 'SMF large upgrade' should be used, so that existing set of files should be removed. Or, just use a different name for your 'new' folder and I'll clean out that unused set of files later.

Ok, I took a look and the way you wish to do it copying the folders back and forth is a bit messy. It's best to just copy the files to a new folder and get rid of everything in this folder and upload the new files. I did backup the db to my hd.

I do notice that you have a restore manager in cPanel where you can restore your files, db's, and email by a certain date. So, I "assume" that there are daily backups. However, I do not see a way to do backups via cPanel except for how I do it. I just select what I wish to backup in File Manager and select "Compress" to zip the files up. I can "Extract" them whenever I wish or download it to my HD.

I downloaded your old forum zip dated feb 2014 to my hd and alos zipped everything today as-is...named forum.zip in your root folder.

If you wish me to proceed let me know. It should only take about 10 minutes or so to upgrade the forum and make sure all is right.

Thanks Steve. Go for it.

For backups I use MySQLDumper and it has 6 daily backups stored in the "/home/ourfamil/public_html/msd1.24.4/work/backup" folder. Hope this helps?

I checked the file versions and all seem up to date...so. I don't see why I just can't upload the upgrade files and run them to make sure the db is up to date. You've already ran Fix Packages and none of them seem to be installed. All of the theme folders are deleted except for the default so most of the work seems to have been done already except to make sure the db is up to date. After that, you should be able to install the themes then the mods.

Great! Good job Steve!

The only theme we should install is the 'Outline', there a few more that have some appeal, like Bloc's 'Workdesk', but they can wait until we've sorted any issues that may come up.

I was very busy yesterday and not thinking right. This site, then I screwed up my grandfather's site which is still not right yet, and was cooking. LOL

Just make sure you install the themes first to avoid problems later. Then the mods and any custom coding. And make sure you check each mod to make sure it works before installing the next one. also install any problematic mods or the largest ones first. It will save a lot of work later.

Bloc has been doing some work on the final public version of TP and I've just posted to make sure that the very latest is posted to github. It may take a little while for him to respond... meanwhile, Mick may know?  :happy1:

Well, it's up to you if you wish to wait to install it or not...

Anyhoo, it's time for me to eat and take a nap. I'll check back in a few hours. ;)
