What music will be remembered in 100 years?

... saw a topic about this on one of my woodworking sites and thought that we needed to post it here! :coolsmiley:
So if you want to mention music that has been around for a really long time you start thinking of names like Beethoven, Brahms, Gershwin, Irving Berlin and more that's not quite so old, like, Nat King Cole, Glenn Miller & His Orchestra, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra... and the list goes on and on.
Then in more resent times there are names like Little Richard, Elvis, Buddy Holley... and more.
So... the question, what music and who do you think will still be being played in one hundred years?
For me a 'sure' bet would be; Beethoven and Brahms.
A 'maybe' would be; Irving Berlin, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra.
A 'long shot' would be; Little Richard, Elvis and Chuck Berry.
Today's popular music? 'zero' across the board with two exceptions; Michael Jackson and Prince.
... I love the Stones and Pink Floyd, but don't think that they will make the cut.
One side note on music from the 20', 30's and 40's... there are lots of artists from that area that I love who get almost no air time. My thinking is that it is because of their color and I think that way because for me their talent ranks up there with all of the other players of that time.
So, maybe we should list folks that we think should be on the list, even if we think that they still might not get their deserved air time in the 100 year future.

I think it boils down to a matter of taste as well as what adults introduce to the younger set. Also, music types/genres seems to in and out of style over time. Some copy styles from other genres or eras.
