It has been reported on NASCAR.com and the local papers that Talladega has barred the 14 people who were arrested for throwing beer bottles/cans onto the track from ever buying tickets there again.

Well that?s good, but IMHO it stops short of what NASCAR needs to do with these folks and anyone else that behaves in the same manner.
My opinion? it should be a lifetime ban from all NASCAR events. Period.

Why? Because no matter who your favorite driver is, or who you don?t like, it places all of the drivers in jeopardy because if someone is willing to throw stuff at a driver on the ?victory? lap then sooner or later that someone will start throwing stuff while they are still racing and that?s when every driver on the track becomes a potential target for this very stupid behavior.

As it happens Dale Sr is my favorite driver? I watched him from day one of his career and still think that he is the best of all times, but things happen, records get broken and even if I hated JG (and I don?t) it is not right to do the kind of behavior that we are seeing at the tracks in some of these races.
It needs to stop.
Anyone in the stands who throws anything on the racing surface needs to receive a lifetime ban from ALL NASCAR events.
