Kind of reminds me of some of my wood-turning friends... Cindy Drozda sometimes turns veggies on her lathe.

They have smaller ones for food now such as this:

Seen those before... they are tempting, but we've never ordered any of those kind of gadgets.

I haven't had a need for them...yet.
