Attempted the update through the Package Manager, but got an error message, "Error in Package Installation", so I backed out of the install.

Errors were showing up in a file (./Sources/Register.php) and two of the themes:
ShelfLife
Lazarus

I removed those two themes and tried the update again, but the ./Sources/Register.php error remains so I stopped there and did not install the update.

Site updated but get 4 errors each time you visit the blog cause it's very old and outdated. I expected something to be wrong with one or more mods. There was an error upon install with the alpha centuri theme but that was an easy fix too.

All you had to do was download the file(s) in question. Then edit copies of them and upload them. If it breaks just upload the orig copies.

EDIT: You are also now using PHP 7.2. If you have any problems, you can always change it in cPanel in MultiPHP Manager.

Hi Guys, hope you're  having a good Christmas break.   :drinking:

I'm curious to know what the error was with alpha century when installing 2.0.16, I didn't see any problem with that theme on the TinyPortal site when I upgraded.   I see in the error log here, that the httpBL mod is throwing errors though, did that give a test failed when patching, or has it always thrown errors?

Hey, Mick I hope you and your family are having a great holiday break as well! :)

It never showed up as read text like when you normally get errors. I happened to open the two themes that it was installing to in order to check on my own. That's when I saw it saw it had one for /Sources/Admin.template.php for:

@version 2.0 was to be changed to @version2.0.16

However. it did say "ignore error" at the end of the line and is prolly why it never showed in red text as usual. I changed it anyways before upgrading and got no errors.

You would have had to click on the plus to open it to see the files for that theme to notice it.

SMF 2.0.16 has a RSS Feed bug! You can read about it here:

Quote
We found a critical bug regarding CPU usage when XML/RSS feeds are used in 2.0.16, and will be releasing a fix in the coming days. In the meantime, if you have already updated to 2.0.16, and notice your CPU time being eaten up, please disable the feature under Admin > Main > News and Newsletters > Settings > Enable XML/RSS news!

If you really depend on the feed feature, see this thread (https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=571025.0) for a workaround.

Yepp, saw that and checked to see if we were using that feature and it was not checked.
