“The presence of the confederate flag at NASCAR events runs contrary to our commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all fans, our competitors and our industry. Bringing people together around a love for racing and the community that it creates is what makes our fans and sport special. The display of the confederate flag will be prohibited from all NASCAR events and properties.”

Without a doubt on that point.
Kay and me went to a few of the races in the '80s and '90s and you could count on at least 40-50% of the people there sporting the confederate flag in some fashion, flags, hats, shirts, coolers, etc. They will start having fans in attendance again starting this coming Sunday and it will be interesting to see if they are able to control the fans. Sunday's race will only have about 1000 troops from the local military, so the true test will be the race after that when there will be 5000 tickets sold to the general public.

BTW.... my Grammarly spell checker wants me to use a capital letter 'C' in the name of the flag.

Yeah, I was wondering if they would actually police the fans and stop them from displaying it...denying entrance, removing them, etc. Let's wait and see...
