GPa's New Project.
« on: June 16, 2009, 12:53:55 PM »
Our house looks pretty good now, after years of work on remodels and updates to the kitchen, floors, painting, pouring a floor in the garage... etc.

Sooo... what's my next project? How about the barn.  :bigthumb:
It's a nice big barn, but it looks really sad especially the exterior walls and for the past couple of days I've been doing the demolition to one of the walls so that it can be rebuilt and covered with vinyl siding.

Here's how it looks with a little over half of the old wall boards removed.

Had to dig up a tree that was growing under what was left of the existing wall!
Some serious work here:

It's starting to look better!  :08:

There's still lots to go:
  • Finish hanging the OSB panels
  • Trim for the ends of the wall
  • Paint trim and top of the wall
  • Install two windows
  • Hang the vinyl siding
  • Fix my aching back

Thanks Les.
The trailer has been listed for $2000 but I guess that's too much because no one is buying.   :cry2:

It's Done!!!  :yahoo:
These pictures are a couple of days late... I've been finished with the vinyl siding for a while now.
It turned out well and I'm glad to be done with that phase of this barn project.

Now on to the next part!
As you can see in this picture the inside of the wall that received the vinyl siding is being put to good use already. Lots of cleanup and organizing going on in here.  :08:

After the clean up is done this will be next, gotta strip off all of the black plastic and then decide if this wall will be left as is, or get some paint.
