I like it. Dark themes are not my first choice, but I like the crisp, clean lines.

Over the hill to GrandMother's House!!! Again!!!
« on: January 15, 2009, 06:28:22 AM »
We are putting together a trip to G-GrandMother Mallie's house for her BirthDay!

Mallie is going to be 91 on this birthday (03/09/2009) and we're planning a trip to visit with her and celebrate the event.

Lots of family members have said that they are trying to be there:
Yvonne & Irvin
Tyra, Sherman, Brooke & Bianca
Russ & Letty
Ken & Kay

Can we add your name to the list???   :bigthumb:
More details soon.  :yahoo:

Tyra and I have had some discussion on sharing rooms at one of the local motels in an attempt to save a little money, if you have any ideas along that line be sure to post a reply here.  riteon

This old topic is being revived because I owe bridgetthamrick an Apologie.

While doing some research in some old topics I noticed my remark, "Umm... don't think we have any of those." in the above quote and realized that I was wrong about saying that we had no Irish ancestors during an ongoing conversation that Bridgett was having with me about our family history. The current stats on my personal AncestryDNA page shows we are 18% Irish.

Hamrick is an Irish name. ;)

Yes, that's true and it can also be German when the original version of the name is Hammerich, as in this example.

Another variation of the name is:
Hieronÿmus Hamerich;  Schleswig-Holstein, Deutschland (Germany) Birth circa 1630 (... some other listings show his birth place as, Copenhagen, Denmark.)
