Illori is taking a look at the logout issue for us!  :hah!:

Had to upload the theme so that she can take a look at it... it's no longer available for download anywhere that I'm aware of.

Fixed it!  laughing7
Thanks Illori.  :thumbup:

Illori gave me a tip on the proper use of a 'session id' in the Log Out address string and that fixed the issue.
I had the session id for the 'LOGOUT' button set as:
http://www.ourfamilyforum.org/FamilyForum/index.php?action=logout
This is what it should be:
http://www.ourfamilyforum.org/FamilyForum/index.php?action=logout;f23eb6ed1=232503dde130b6af7fd4345dd398c0f7

Here's a copy of my post on TinyPortal (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=35706.msg288030#msg288030):

Fixed the Log Out issue by doing an edit to that menu option... thanks to Illori for the logout session id tip (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=35706.msg288024#msg288024).   :thumbup:

Now it just needs the rest of the menu options sorted out.

I still can't logout. I've refreshed the screen using CTRL+F5 and even closed the tab and came back. Maybe I need to clear the cache in my browser's settings.

Just trying with my test user (Mia) and it's not working for that user either.  :-\

Are you using Firefox or Chrome? I wonder if it is a browser issue. I'm suing FF.

Illori suggests that doing an uninstall and reinstall, I'll need to uninstall and reinstall some of the mods as well, so this will take a few minutes.

I'm using Firefox for me and Edge for Mia.

Ok, I can logout on Curves.

Still working on this theme.

Illori has written some code edits for the index.template.php file and I'm trying those edits out now.
Title: Re: WorkDesk3
Post by: Ken on January 29, 2016, 08:03:51 AM
The code was not working for me, the edits kept causing the site to go blank, showing a white page with no content.

But, Illori fixed it.  :thumbup:
The log-out feature works correctly now, we'll just need to check the the rest of the theme features work as they should.

I'll go ahead and set WorkDesk3 as the forum default again. please let me know if you see any errors.

Ken, that workdesk3 theme you you uploaded for Illori, was that a fresh copy of the theme, or is it what you grabbed from your server after it'd been installed?
Title: Re: WorkDesk3
Post by: Ken on January 29, 2016, 01:43:37 PM
Mick it was/is one that I've had in my files for some time(?) now and not one that was extracted from the site.
If the question is whether or not I had made some edits too it at some point... I don't actually have an answer for that because I have no idea how old it it. I'm not on the correct laptop to look at the file to see if there is some clue as to how long it's been on my laptop, but I can do that later if you think it would be helpful.

EDIT: spelling.

It's ok Ken, I was just curious, as yours seems to have a couple of temporary ~ files in it, while the fresh copy I just found on my external backup drive doesn't have these extra files. as below.

BoardIndex.template.php~
MessageIndex.template.php~
index.css~

It makes me wonder if it's a backup complete with edits, and not actually a fresh copy of the theme that you've installed.  Then again, it might be a fresh copy, but with some fixes applied at the time.  I'm not good with this theme stuff, so can't be sure. ;)

The one I have has been installed on my test site for a few years, http://cctestsite.info/forums/index.php?action=forum;theme=26  I also have somewhere the PSD image for changing the top right image as I have done on there.

Still no errors in the logs!  :banana:

This theme seems to be OK now.

I loaded the Display.template.php file back into the theme and it didn't seem to make any difference. It will stay in place for now, but it can easily be removed again if any issues arise.

The width of the forum needs to be more narrow or the TP panel needs to be wider. You can't fully see the calendar in its block...

Or maybe there could be a blockcode adjustment to the calendar itself so it fits.

After thrashing around with it for a while and not finding an answer to the issue I posted over on TinyPortal (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=35710.0) to see if Illori might have an solution.

fixed.

Code: [Select]
.windowbg, #preview_body {
background-color: #F0F0F0;
color: #555555;
padding: 0px 8px;
}

removed the 8px from the padding.

may need to do a hard refresh to see the changes.

Great work Illori!  :2cool!!

Works like a charm now... Thank you!  :thumbup:

Edge = OK
Chrome = OK
IE11 = OK...
The two attachments so the calendar block when signed in and not signed in.

Ok, cleared temp files browser cache the lot, and it's still there.  It was there in other browsers until Illori fixed it, but it's fine in those now,  I sometimes wonder if my IE11 is screwed up more than usual.  :wink:

I'll try in on my other laptop, and my desktop in a while.  Hopefully it'll be ok on those. ;)

I rarely use IE, so it's good that you caught the glitch... waiting to see if it's just on the one laptop.

Ken.  I'll go try on the desktop now, but other laptop is installing updates as I haven't fired it up in a few weeks.  Have noticed one other bug though.  Just at the top of forum index, this  "Members: 117  •  Posts: 14590  •  Topics: 3495" is covering up the left panel collapse button,

Ken, I can confirm the calendar block is fine on my Desktop PC.  So it looks like it's IE11 on this laptop causing the problem.

Good catch Mick... any idea on where to edit for that issue?

To be honest Ken, I didn't know that stat info should be there, it's not there on my test site running Workdesk3, http://cctestsite.info/forums/index.php?action=forum;theme=26

Fixed it. ???

It the current theme settings, about half way down the page, there is a setting for "Show statistics on board index:" Placing a check in the box makes the stats go away, so some where along the way that setting got turned upside down.   shocked003

I think I can fix it and have been meaning to. A small CSS change is all that should be needed so there's more space between the stats and the upshrink section.

Change this: top: -20px;

To this: top: -35px;

I no longer have access to the server or FTP or I would have done it myself.

When the stats returned to the top of the page I checked the setting in the current theme cp and found that the check was missing from the box. (?)

Still works backwards Steve, it needs a check in the box for "Show statistics on board index:" too make it go away.
