Possible Major Upgrade this Week.
« on: November 09, 2009, 11:53:42 AM »
This past week we've been having issues here on Our FamilyForum as noted in this topic... Blank Pages on Our FamilyForum

As the days have gone on we continue to discover more and more problems and so now I'm contemplating the possibility of stepping up to the latest versions of SMF and TinyPortal. It had been expected that it would be another 2-3 months before we made this move because the SMF version is still in Beta testing and the TP version is still in the Alpha stage of development but with our current issues it may be just as easy to go ahead and make the upgrade because I'm going to need to reload all of the server files anyway.

If we do make the change your access will be disrupted during the day of the change and the amount of time you lose access will be dependent on how good of a job I do and what problems pop up during the process.

You should see at least one days notice before I start any work on an upgrade.
