Kindle For The PC
« on: February 10, 2012, 09:48:20 AM »
Kindles allow you to read e-books but they are not free. Or are they?   :yikes:

Did you know that you can get a Kindle for your PC from Amazon.com and it works pretty much the same way a handheld one does? Download the free Kindle program and you can download free and paid e-books for viewing right on your PC!

Ok, this is not very portable but you can also get versions for you Blackberry, iPod, iPhone, iPad or Android device!!!   :08:

Steve, I have tried the Kindle PC reader and it works good, but to me the 'Cloud Reader' is even better.
It's a nice way to read on any internet capable device and you don't need anything installed to the device.

This from their cloud page:

Buy Once, Read Everywhere

■Kindle Cloud Reader runs in your web browser but looks and acts just like an app?and you can continue reading even if you lose your internet connection.
■Shop over a million ebooks in the Kindle Store.
■Already have Kindle ebooks? Read them in any supported web browser with Kindle Cloud Reader.

Their entire cloud service does that with books, movies and music. ;)

I started to post about that service too but was pressed for time. So, I figured that once you got to the download part you'd see it anyway.
