Title: Do You Remember Spatini?
Post by: Skhilled on January 24, 2019, 10:12:23 AM
It was a dry seasoning mix that was used in tomato based pasta sauces. I used to love the stuff! I remember my grandmother using it when I was little. LOL Well, the company stopped making it in Dec 2006 but here's a knock-off of it:

1 beef bullion cube, crushed or a packet of beef granules
1 1/2 teaspoons of powdered sugar
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
Pinch of ground pepper

Add it to a can of tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, or tomato puree along with enough water or broth to your liking.
