Arcade Testing, Round #4
« on: August 31, 2010, 08:47:14 PM »
BTW - please do not report any errors prior to uninstalling E-Arcade

Test: SMF 1 or SMF 2 installations - Scenario #1:

    * Install E-Arcade
    * Install gamepack plus different game types
    * Set some favories, rate some games, get some high scores, enter some game descriptions
    * Uninstall E-Arcade and then clear your error log
    * Install and run the conversion tool
    * Uninstall and delete the conversion tool
    * Install SMF Arcade
    * Run all Admin/Arcade maintenance
    * Check to see if old data for arcade was transferred (scores/stats)
    * Check to see if games function (including proper dimensions), save scores (proper save type set), etc.
    * Make sure all functions work in arcade including tournaments
    * Make sure all Arcade Admin functions work properly
    * Double check error log after testing

... and just in case they tried to install SMF Arcade prior to using the tool, we must test scenario #2:

Test: SMF 1 or SMF 2 installations - Scenario #2:

    * Install E-Arcade
    * Install gamepack plus different game types

Test: SMF 2 installations - Scenario #1:
... test session #2

    * Install E-Arcade ... Done
    * Install gamepack plus different game types ... Done
    * Set some favories, rate some games, get some high scores, enter some game descriptions ... Done
    * Uninstall E-Arcade and then clear your error log ... Done
    * Install and run the conversion tool ... Done
    * Uninstall and delete the conversion tool ... Done
    * Install SMF Arcade ... Done
    * Run all Admin/Arcade maintenance ... Done
    * Check to see if old data for arcade was transferred (scores/stats) ... Done, games & data did not transfer over.

NOTE:
The result was the same, SMFA installs with no errors, but none of the games or data are present.
This test was run with a fresh install of SMF2 into a clean/blank db.
... test stopped at this point.

    * Check to see if games function (including proper dimensions), save scores (proper save type set), etc.
    * Make sure all functions work in arcade including tournaments
    * Make sure all Arcade Admin functions work properly
    * Double check error log after testing
