A Caution for those who use Quick Ban on Account Delete.
« on: May 02, 2012, 03:42:52 PM »
This is a caution for anyone who uses the 'Quick Ban on Account Delete' Mod as part of their forum's security packages.

When you are making test membership registrations you will want to delete those test members at some point, when you do so just be sure to remove all of the checks for the ban triggers so that you don't accidentally ban one of your own email address's!  :bigteeth:   DAMHIKT
You may also want to use the test users name again.

LOL! When Visual Warning mod came out back in smf 1.x, I banned myself testing it by IP. I had to get Les to unban me.  :2funny:

You can always go into the db and undo it. ;)

I've done stuff like that in the past as well... :opps:
Luckily this time I remembered to un-check the IP box and didn't ban myself.
