That may be the problem...

It has to just be something blocking FileZilla because the other one (Core) is able to connect... maybe my firewall.

That may be the problem...

I agree, it could be.  I once had McAfee security installed on a PC, and that even stopped me administrating my own forum.  Couldn't sort it, eventually had to uninstall it. Never used it again. lol..

Gots FileZilla working again!  :hah!:

Went to my support ticket option and asked Frank for advice on the issue... again!  :o
... I've had this issue before, mostly after an update to FZ.

So here's a quote from my messages to and from him:

Quote
Hi Frank

Sorry to bother you again with my FileZilla issues, it has lost it's connection ability again after an update. I've been thrashing around with it in the settings for several days now and did an uninstall and then downloaded a fresh copy and installed that. The result is still the same.

My log-in details are good because they will work with Core FTP LE... it logs in and transfers with no issues. The Core FTP could be used of course, but I much prefer the FileZilla so it would nice to get it working.

Thanks for any help or advice that you can give... Ken.

-------------------------------------
In FileZilla:
Under the General tab. Encryptoin: chose "Only use plain FTP from drop down box.
Frank
--------------------------------------

I already had it set to that based on your previous advice.

But when you mentioned it I thought to try the other setting, "SFTP-SSH File Transfer Protocol" thinking that it might work if I cycled through both settings, ending up back with the plain FTP and then maybe it would work. Well, when the setting was changed to SFTP-SSH it connected up strait away and works as expected now.

Thanks for the timely tip... Ken.

Works like a charm now.

Ken, so exactly what version did you upgrade from 1.5.30?  I would just go through the folders again and make sure they all contain the new files. It looks like your whole include folder was missed and still has the old files. So start with that one.

docs files are ok.
bridge files are ok,

The single files found in the  cpg1.5.34 folder on your desktop also need to be uploaded

Done.
The Versioncheck page is starting to look much better now.

It did give off three failed transfers as seen here:

Did that happen because those folders already existed on the server?

The Versioncheck shows 'anycontent.php' as outdated, should a copy from the latest version be edited for the correct site data and then uploaded?

Ken good job getting your Filezilla working again.  I wouldn't worry to much about the anycontent file tbh.

Just checked your file versions again, and yes it's nearly there.

There's three EDIT: Four folders that it seems to have missed

js folder

lang folder

plugins folder Open this file on both your pc, and on server and just copy across the plugins, leaving any other plugins you have added in the server file.

sql folder

Click the "update database"  button after this,.  Then we'll check it again. ;)

Done.

1/ The update db screen shows all entries as 'Already Done'.
2/ Versioncheck shows green checks for all versions; except for some albums; logs; plugin's; and themes.
3/ I went ahead and uploaded the anycontent file.

Cool,  Good job Ken.   Yeah the anycontent file is ok to overwrite providing you're not using it.  In which case you'd upload the one you had backed up as per the upgrade instructions.

Only thing to check now is those three files that failed the transfer, just to make sure they're current, and then you're green to go as they say. lol..

OK, I'll do that a little later today.

... 'anycontent.php' ; I didn't seen any difference between the two except for the published date???

Actually... went ahead and checked those three files.

Each one is calling out a folder that is empty, both in the new package and on the server, so it should be OK because the folders are on the server.

Ken, you won't see any difference in that file, like I said unless you use it.  The anycontent file is for adding your own code / content etc to be displayed in Coppermine.  Basically if you don't have any of your own code in your anycontent.php file then it's safe to replace it.

The only reason the upgrade instructions tell you to back it up. Because if you use it, and then overwrite it then you'll lose your custom code, that's all.  ;)

As an example, you can see the anycontent being displayed (as is, and un-edited) at the top of my test site gallery http://cctestsite.info/gallery/index.php

Ken thanks.  I use that slider on CC and my testsite, it's just a plugin. ;) http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,57388.0.html

I use it in conjunction with the EnlargeIt plugin, http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,57424.0.html
