Mountain Run

(1/1)

Burgundyrose:
Yipee!!!  :yahoo: I get to go caching in the morning. I haven't been in so long, the Iphone App has been upgraded twice. Lol. I am going to do a mountain run, up in the Sequoia National Forest. I have 34 on my list, but I'll see how many I actually get to. Some of them are long hikes off the road, so they will probably get skipped. May jump in the river along the way. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Ken:
Sounds like a good run in the Sequoia National Forest, hope you have a good ride and have a lot of fun.

And, hope you find all 34 caches'!  :2thumbs:

I only got 6 caches yesterday. It got way too hot and a place called McNally's was calling my name. It was a wonderful day. I decided to leave a bunch of caches for other trips so I would have an excuse to travel over to McNally's a few times instead of just once a year. McNally's is a mountain resort. They have a motel, restaurant, bar, hamburger stand, and store. They also have the Kern river running right behind them. My husband spends 3 weeks a year at McNally's for his job, so he is good friends with the owners. They also ride motorcycles so going to visit is a lot of fun. I am making plans to go after a few more of the caches in a couple of weeks. It is around 100 miles round trip, mostly in the mountains. I saw Quail, Hawks, Deer, and even a Roadrunner on this caching trip. But caching up in the mountains with the fresh air and Redwoods makes for a great trip. I can't wait to go again.

Ken:
With all of the heat and humidity that we've had lately it's no wonder you had to dial it back a little. The McNally's resort sounds to be a really nice place to visit, California sure has it's share of those places when you get up into the mountains... Lake Arrowhead was one of my fav places when we lived in So-Cal, one of my friends moved there permanently after he retired.  :bigthumb:

Yes, that does sound like a lot of fun. :)
