Maybe it's just me but...this part of "How Do I Add A Block To An Article?" makes no sense. Try to follow along with it:

Quote
Assuming that you have already created your block, go to: "Admin > Tiny Portal > Panels & Blocks > SELECT PANEL AREA > Blocks" and edit the block you wish to add to an article. In the Block settings, look for "Show when viewing this article" option, and select the article you wish for it to appear in from the droplist.

There are a great many topics that I'll be re-writing as the process goes along including adding images to some of them to try to give the person viewing the doc a better understanding of the message being presented.
Like this one for example:

Looks good! But the other one makes no sense to me. I know you can add panels or certain block alongside of articles but I can't even find what that part is talking about.

Maybe it was supposed to be how to add an article to a block? Cause I'm not sure how to fix it. LOL

Basically it's supposed to be telling you how to show your block in an article. If you look in the lower right of the block settings screen you'll see a listing of your available articles and if you :tick: an article then that block will show for that article.
Me gotta fix the attachments!   :censored:

You mean like left or right panel blocks? Not individual blocks? The Doc seems to imply specific blocks.

It is specific blocks... for each block that you want to display in an article you must do that :tick: in the block's settings panel for that article and block match up.

For example, if you want your shoutbox to show in an article, then you must make that :tick: ... then the shoutbox will show in the article and in whatever panel you have your SB parked in. So here on OFF the shoutbox would then show in the left panel of the article.
One thing that needs to be added to this docs is the part about needing to :tick: for the panel you want to show, it the example below it's " Display leftblocks"
Here's an example:

Code: [Select]
:tick: = 'check mark'

Or, maybe like this... :tick:
I've been using this 'tick' on the docs site, just added it to the Smiley set here as well.  laughing7

1.  On the main page, the "Articles" and "Frontpage" section are different heights. "Articles" have 4 items in it and is shorter than "Frontpage" which has only 3 items in it???

2.  On that same page, some of the links have all large capital letters while others do not.

3.  In the image below, I think it should be: How To "Create" A...

The [ and ] brackets seem to imply coding.

Fixed. :tick:

1.  How Do I Embed A Internal/External Webpage?

That link needs a login...

2.  Read more about Articles HERE - leads to this page:

http://www.tinyportal.net/docs/index.php?board=26 - title should say Article Setup & Management...at first glance one may think they are on the page for Tinyportal General Setup and Management and may click away from that page.

3.  What Are The Article Settings?

Use the WYSIWYG editor?:
  • No | This option will disable any WYSIWYG editor from being used in HTML/BBC articles. - Missing the word "editor".
Missing "Yes" option. All other settings have a "Yes" option.
  • Yes | This option will enable the WYSIWYG editor to be used in HTML/BBC articles.
4.  Missing images for these 2:
Hide the edit article link under articles?
  • Yes | This option will hide the quick "edit" link for those with permission at the top the article.
  • No | This option will show the quick "edit" link for those with permission to edit the article.
Show print icon in articles?
  • Yes | This option will show the icon, allowing user's to print just the content of the article.
  • No | This option will not show the icon, not allowing user's to print just the content of the article.
5.  Maybe add the "E" edit icon to this image at the end of "Hide the edit article link under articles?"...like the print option does:

I was just looking at this and wondering:

http://www.tinyportal.net/docs/index.php?topic=58

Why does TP have "uncategorized" and "not assigned"? Don't they mean the same thing? Personally, I think it should be "uncategorized" but it could also be "unassigned".
