Working on it. :)

For this part, sounds right... you should post it to  the beta topic over on TP.
I was just looking at this and wondering:

http://www.tinyportal.net/docs/index.php?topic=58

Why does TP have "uncategorized" and "not assigned"? Don't they mean the same thing? Personally, I think it should be "uncategorized" but it could also be "unassigned".

I figured I'd run it by you first and see what you thought...just in case they both actually meant different things that I was unaware of. LOL

1.  How Do I Port My Old HTML Page Content To An Article?

Then on your old webpage, highlight all of your HTML code between your <body> & </body> tags and copy it by right-clicking and selecting "copy", or press "CTRL C".

Now you will want to place that code into your new article. In your article right-click and select "paste". If the editor is enabled, it may not let you. You will need to press "CTRL V" to paste the code into the article. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT ADD THE HTML <body> & </body> TAGS IN YOUR ARTICLE! This may result in a blank page or the article not showing correctly.

* Ken, notice the " - " between "right-clicking" and "right-click".

2.  How Do I Sort My Articles?

To sort your articles you can go:
TP Admin > Articles > Articles in a category > (select the category with the articles you wish to sort)
This part in red "Articles in a category >" implies there is a setting with that name...but there is none. A better way would be:

To sort your articles you can go to:
TP Admin > Articles > Select the category with the articles you wish to sort and you will then see a list of your articles within that category.

How Do I Print An Article?

To print an article, just click Print Icon when viewing an article.

However, there is no icon anymore! Check here...I just did and on my sites. It just says "Print".

1.  How Do I Embed A Internal/External Webpage?

That link needs a login...

2.  Read more about Articles HERE - leads to this page:

http://www.tinyportal.net/docs/index.php?board=26 - title should say Article Setup & Management...at first glance one may think they are on the page for Tinyportal General Setup and Management and may click away from that page.

3.  What Are The Article Settings?

Use the WYSIWYG editor?:
  • No | This option will disable any WYSIWYG editor from being used in HTML/BBC articles. - Missing the word "editor".
Missing "Yes" option. All other settings have a "Yes" option.
  • Yes | This option will enable the WYSIWYG editor to be used in HTML/BBC articles.
4.  Missing images for these 2:
Hide the edit article link under articles?
  • Yes | This option will hide the quick "edit" link for those with permission at the top the article.
  • No | This option will show the quick "edit" link for those with permission to edit the article.
Show print icon in articles?
  • Yes | This option will show the icon, allowing user's to print just the content of the article.
  • No | This option will not show the icon, not allowing user's to print just the content of the article.
5.  Maybe add the "E" edit icon to this image at the end of "Hide the edit article link under articles?"...like the print option does:

1/... where do you find that link Steve? It should not be visible, except to admins.
2/ done.
3/ done.
4/ I'll get back to this one later.

1.  It is on the main Docs page in the "Articles" section under "Getting Started".

4.  And printing is turned on here and on my site.

Should this be posted at TP to see if there should/will be an icon added?

1/ link removed
2/ most of the docs(99%+) are actually forum topics, so there would not be a print link available... is that what you are talking about?

There used to be a print icon at one time...it was on the top right side in the title header. I remember it but didn't notice until recently that it was removed.

Are you sure about this Steve? I thought it was for keeping members from commenting while you did edits.

Maybe it should be:
To lock an article to keep anyone from editing the article at the same time as you do, just go to: "TP Admin > Articles > Select The Article You Wish To Lock > Status" Click The Lock Icon(Lock this article for editing)

Yup! Each article has a setting to disable commenting on it. I do think categories should also have the same option for all articles within that category.

Well, it locks the article no matter what is going on until you unlock it. There may be other admins, etc. that you do not want editing your articles and may wish to keep it locked permanently.
