Microsoft Confirms Data Leak
« on: October 25, 2022, 09:40:22 AM »
And I wouldn't be surprised if there are not telling all of it or just lying about some of it like customer accounts not being compromised...

SOCRadar has detected that data from 65,000 entities became public because of a misconfigured Azure Blob Storage instance.

That's not surprising really, because there are so many people and governments trying to hack through security on those cloud services now.

And...so many companies are still using Win 7or8!!! They refuse to upgrade to with 10 because they'll probably have to upgrade all of their hardware. I can't tell you how many times I've went to a terminal at a company and saw Win 7-8 and see "Upgrades available, please upgrade now!".  :censored:

Yeah, the cost could make it rough for some companies. I had to replace a desktop tower because of Win10 and even-though I went with a refurbished unit it still cost a small, but painful chunk so I can only imagine how it would be for a company with hundreds or even thousands of units.

I hear ya. My PC is over 5 years old and I need to start looking at another one maybe after winter and paying for all of the high heating bills! LOL

I understand the costs of upgrading, etc. but they are putting their companies, employees, and customers at risk. It was probably never taken into account when they started...
